WE'RE the oldest women's club in utah
The Park City Athenaeum Club was founded in 1897 by miners’ wives interested in helping to make Park City a better place through education and service. Our club is the oldest women’s club in Utah and a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC).
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. GFWC is the largest non-religious women’s organization in the world. Over 80,000 strong, GFWC members work in their own communities to preserve natural resources, support the arts, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace. GFWC is distinguished from other service organizations by the breadth of our outreach. Our community service programs focus on arts and culture, civic engagement and outreach, education and libraries, environment, and health and wellness.
in 2024 we are proud to be celebrating 120 years
